About iBond

The Thai Bond Market Association (ThaiBMA) launched the "iBond" communication and information service, formerly known as the Bond Information Service (BIS), on May 4, 1999, for ThaiBMA dealer-members and market participants. The service is accessible through the internet and contains comprehensive coverage of the Thai bond market data, serving as a tool for efficient trade and investment. It also gives consumers easy access to the most up-to-date market information and other services over the internet network.

To provide more efficient services to members and subscribers, ThaiBMA developed an exclusive website called "iBond" (www.ibond.thaibma.or.th) on October 4, 2006, which was independent from ThaiBMA's main website (www.thaibma.or.th). Following the separation, iBond has become a completely password-protected website that only serves ThaiBMA members and subscribers who have passwords permitted by ThaiBMA.

As a complete source for trading, funding, and investing, iBond offers a wide range of Thai bond information. Aside from bond data, it also provides an essential infrastructure for bond market development and benchmarking, such as yield curves, bond indices, bond calculation, bond registration, and disclosure. Furthermore, it provides a unique source of bond price references that was approved by the SEC in July 2006 for the marking-to-market procedure of fund management businesses.
